HASS AVOCADO 

The Hass avocado originated from the crossbreeding of the Mexican and Guatemalan races, discovered by grower Rudolph Hass in California (USA) in 1926. With fruits high in oil content, it is the most important variety in the global market, darkening almost to black when ripe.

BREDA AVOCADO

The Breda avocado, likely resulting from the natural crossing of the Antillean and Guatemalan varieties, was selected in the 1930s in Cordeirópolis (SP) by nurseryman Natalino Breda. It was chosen for its good production, late fruiting, smooth green skin, and was well accepted by the market.

FORTUNE AVOCADO

The Fortune avocado, selected by nurseryman Armindo Benati in Campinas (SP) in the 1960s, originated from the Antillean and Guatemalan races. The fruits are very large, weighing between 600 and 1,000 g, with a pear-shaped form, smooth dark green skin, yellow flesh, and loose seed.

MARGARIDA AVOCADO

The Margarida avocado, selected by Miguel Makiyama in Arapongas (PR), who honored his wife Margarida, originated from a tree planted directly in the ground, known as "pé-franco." It has characteristics of the Guatemalan race, such as new leaves with purplish coloration, round fruits with rough skin. The flesh is light green, and the seed is small.

QUINTAL  AVOCADO

The Quintal avocado originated from a "pé-franco" (planted directly in the ground) at the Quintal family farm in Cordeirópolis (SP). With characteristics of the Antillean and Guatemalan races, it has large fruits, ranging from 500 to 900 g, with a pear-shaped form and a prominent "neck." The skin is light green and smooth, the flesh is yellow, and the seed adheres to the flesh.
