Yellow Melon


There are different varieties of melon sold in Brazil. The most common is the yellow variety, which is not very aromatic but has simpler production and guaranteed consumption. Yellow melon contains the antioxidant beta carotene. It is considered an alkalizing food because 60% of its salts are alkaline. It contains vitamins A, C, and E, as well as some minerals like calcium, phosphorus, and iron.
